digdns works without accounts or sign-up, and does not store the domain names you look up or the results. This policy explains the data Digdns LLC (“digdns”, “we”, “us”) processes when you use https://digdns.site.

3. Services queried
To answer, our server (not your browser) queries public DNS resolvers (Google, Cloudflare, Quad9 and others) the RDAP and WHOIS servers of registries and registrars, anti-spam blocklists (Spamhaus, SpamCop, Barracuda, SURBL…), Team Cymru (network number) and, for the SSL and health tools, the analysed site itself (ports 443 and 80). They receive the domain name looked up and our server's address, never your IP address. The WHOIS information shown is published by registries; digdns does not keep it.
4. Retention
- Rate-limiting data (hashed IP address): 24 hours at most.
- Hosting technical logs: depending on its configuration, 30 days at most.
- Contact messages: as long as needed to reply.
- Checks of monitored domains (Pro): rolling 12 months; if the subscription ends, 30 days, then deleted. Account: until you delete it (“Delete my account” button, immediate erasure).
- Billing data: the legal accounting retention period.
- Language cookie: 12 months. Theme: until you clear it.
5. Recipients and transfers
Our hosting provider (hosting of the site, sending of emails), Stripe (payment of the Pro subscription) and Google Fonts (typefaces). Our company and these providers are based in the United States. Transfers from the European Union rely on the mechanisms provided by the GDPR (Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or standard contractual clauses).
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the GDPR in the EU/EEA and the UK, and the CCPA/CPRA in California), you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to and port your data. To exercise them, write to [email protected]. You may lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. To have WHOIS data corrected, contact the domain's registrar. We do not sell or share personal information.
